A bookend, a doorstop and a paperweight in one bent sheet.
Mono is folded from a single sheet of 6 mm aluminium with one bend. It is sold in natural, black and red anodised finishes.
Challenge
Making a heavy, stable object from a material that is usually associated with lightness.
Approach
The bend angle was tuned so the centre of gravity sits low and forward, keeping books upright without a rubber base.
Result
Produced without waste from standard sheet sizes, Mono became Haydn Objects’ best-selling accessory in its first season.
